LUX CARNIVAL

LUX Carnival, which stands for Lavish Unique eXperience, was founded in 2017 by Sharon Niles and is headquartered in Milton, ON. The band started as a destination experience for Crop Over in Barbados, running successfully for three years before transitioning into the Toronto Caribbean Carnival market in 2022. By 2023, LUX had officially become a full band in Toronto, quickly making an impact in the community and industry. That same year, LUX Carnival was nominated for the Small Business of the Year Award by The CanadianSME Small Business Magazine, a testament to its growing influence and success.

In 2024, LUX Carnival won the first-ever Small Band of the Year award at Toronto Caribbean Carnival, cementing its place as a rising force in the carnival scene. This success was followed by another prestigious accolade—the 2025 Canadian Choice Award—highlighting its dedication to delivering exceptional carnival experiences.

Beyond the road, LUX Carnival is committed to cultural representation, particularly advocating for children with disabilities, whether physical, cognitive, emotional, or behavioral, to be part of carnival celebrations. This mission resonated deeply with many who had never seen their children represented in such spaces.

LUX Carnival is more than just a mas band; it is a movement that fosters community engagement and cultural preservation. Through highly successful events, corporate partnerships, cultural festivals, educational workshops, and heritage initiatives, LUX continues to celebrate and elevate Caribbean culture while ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.
