Description of the course:
PowerShell Fundamentals is the PowerShell-course for everyone who wants to learn how to use PowerShell in their daily work.
In three days we will walk you through everything from the basics - how to run a command in Powershell - all the way to getting started with scripting.
The course requires no previous knowledge in PowerShell, and is directed to both beginners and to those who have used PowerShell for a while and wants to get a better understanding of how the language is really built, from the ground up.
Example of course topics:
· PowerShell commands with Verb, Noun, and Parameters
· Finding the right commands
· Input and Output, understanding the concept of Objects
· Basic introduction to .NET framework, types, members, properties, and methods
· Pipelines
· Variables used to store information between commands
· Strings and how to work with text in PowerShell
· Logical flows in scripts, conditions, and loops
· Common tools
· Introduction to version control
· Troubleshooting
· Scripting best practices
· Parameters
The course is based on PowerShell 7 but earlier versions of PowerShell such as 5.1 is usable. Participants are expected to have their own computer. Feel free to bring your daily challenges, scripts, and solutions and we can look at them during class.
This course is held in Swedish.
