14.30 - 15.30 Uprooted
15.30 ~ 16.10 Panel discussion with QnA
16.10 ~ 16.30 Fika and mingle
In this documentary, you will meet the people working tirelessly to document and end the abductions, children who were kidnapped and returned, and families who journeyed to the occupied territories to bring their children home.
The Kyiv Independent’s War Crimes Investigations Unit has established the names of officials taking part in the abduction and has followed the paths of families who risked their lives to bring their children back. The journalists found 31 children taken to Russia in May 2022, from occupied parts of Ukraine. The children have not been returned to Ukraine. Part of the group was later put up for adoption in Russia. So far, only 386 Ukrainian children have been brought home.
