Design Futures — a growing field that combines design with futures thinking to explore how the world could be, not just how it is. We’ll look at what Design Futures is, why it matters, and how practicing it can help us better navigate uncertainty, imagine alternative futures, and shape more intentional outcomes. Whether you're a designer, strategist, or curious thinker, this session offers a starting point for thinking beyond the present.
In a time shaped by rapid change and uncertainty, it’s easy to stay focused on the present. But what happens when we actively begin to design for what doesn’t exist yet? By combining design methods with futures exploration, we can create new perspectives, strategies, and narratives about where we’re heading—and the choices we have.
